Important Dates
This timeline outlines the critical dates that are pertinent to the transition plan from Freedom Hall to the Downtown Arena.
DECEMBER, 2008 - The University of Louisville Cardinal Athletic Fund launched a website www.UofLArenaSeats.com which contains the details of the men’s basketball transition plan from Freedom Hall to the Downtown Arena.
OCTOBER, 2009 - Informational brochures mailed to all existing men’s basketball season ticket holders. This brochure indicates each account holder’s priority point total and ranking against other men’s basketball season ticket holders.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2010 - CAF priority points will freeze at 6:00 p.m. In order for additional donations to be included in your point total, donations must be received in the CAF office prior to that date and time. This will be the number of points used to determine your ranking . This ranking will prioritize the order in which individuals select their seats for men’s basketball in the Downtown Arena.
MARCH, 2010 - You will receive a personalized letter in the mail indicating your specific date and time to select your seats in the Downtown Arena.
BEGINNING IN APRIL , 2010 - Arena seat selection will occur. Exact times will be scheduled for according to your CAF priority point total and ranking. Each person will have their own time slot to select their own seats. At the time of seat selection, a 20% deposit for seat donations will be due. You will receive an invoice for the remaining balance.
NOVEMBER, 2010 - The University of Louisville basketball teams begin their inaugural season at the new Downtown Arena.
